Le groupe Backstreet boys a commencé sa carrière musicale en 1993. Il s'agit d'un groupe américain composé de Brian Littrell, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorough et A. J. McLean. Ils sont tous chanteurs. C'est une chanson sortie en 1999, enregistrée en Suède.
Cette chanson a connu un succès assez important en 1999. Initialement placée 72è du Hit parade américain (le Hot 100 du magazine Billboard), il a même atteint la 6è place au 26 juin. Le morceau a été premier du hit parade des singles en mai au Royaume-Uni, en Allemagne, en Autriche, en Suisse, aux Pays-Bas, en Norvège, en Australie ainsi qu'en Nouvelle-Zélande.

Ce morceau a en partie été popularisé par la série Brooklyn 99, dans une séquence dans laquelle le détective Jake Peralta de la police de New York doit faire chanter ce morceau à des fugitifs pour identifier un coupable. Ils finissent la scène avec une interprétation parfaitement orchestrée entre les différents suspects et le policier.
